Charity isnt socialism. You are trying the standard move of conflating “being social and looking out for each other” with” socialism” which monopolizes services. Donations exist in a capitalist society (as I just mentioned). In a socialist society, the members MUST use the monopolized services. If they are not monopolized, then it is capitalistic. The entire point of the previous post was to point out that while profit centric businesses are required for sustainability, they are also required to sustain charity. Socialism forces people to comply with a single set of services. Or, forces services to comply with unsustainable regulations. In either case, only capitalism realizes the gains in an economy in a sustainable way. Those that don’t die of or become charitable.
