Let’s start out with the updates that Nick discussed.

Validators:

Masternodes have been renamed as validators. It will be a tough change as we have been referring to them as masternodes since before the blockchain even started. Currently validators do not validate anything. Functionally they are unchanged, no code changes coming along with the name change. The name change comes along with some new marketing realities and how Divi plans position the project and services.

The Divi ecosystem reached an all time high of 1448 validators. Importantly, there is 940 million Divi out there at the time of this video allocated in Divi validators. That is 66 million dollars in masternodes helping to secure the network, but also its a demonstration of the faith people have the blockchain and project.

New Wallet:

There are 11391 signups to help beta test the new wallet. That is without any marketing activities. Thats double the number of people we have in our Telegram community. Zoe, Divi’s brand new CMO, is working on a good plan when release is ready. Rollout plan is finished, assigning dates internally. Sounds like the marketing engine is revved up and ready to go!

DiviGo:

The wallet that the DiviGo service controls has 5 Million Divi in it. If you are unfamiliar with DiviGo, it’s a custodial wallet service from Divi that is a custodial service for your Divi allowing you to send, receive, stake, and be qualified for the lottery. 826 people are finding this free service useful. Keep in mind, it is still in beta! Divi doesn’t recommend custodial wallets in general, and snce this is still in beta, please do not store all your funds there. However, DiviGo provides new and different opportunities for more people to access and use Divi. 1600 messages sent funds around so far! Better yet NKLabs is issuing an update with rich media as shown below which will make the whole service easier to lern and more fun too.

DiviGo will work with Divi, BTC, LTC and even fiat currencies

The staking will become proportional. This means that you will get some Divi whenever anyone earns a stake and the amount you get will be based on how much you have in the DiviGo wallet relative to the total balance of the wallet.

Same for lotteries. It will be smaller amounts, far more often. DiviGo getting BTC and LTC, next iteration should be in place in next few weeks.

Divi Support

If you have a problem, head into our support. Concierge calls available. You can call and get this service The support star got 1500 divi for this work. Seriously, everyone knows it’s the best support in crypto. The secret is to have the best crypto in crypto, with the best community in crypto. This makes support much easier.

The Mobile Wallet

The mobile wallet has a new website ready to go next week. It will show all features and tracks the rollout plan.

German, our amazing blockchain developer, has been working on a Staking Vaults. It’s now way better than the original embodiment in many way. When you have smart, creative people working on interesting projects, wonderfuls things can bloom. Now staking vaults can have multiple key access. 2 keys, vault key and owner key. Anyone can run a vault, but with mulitple keys, stakes can only be spent with Owner key. Funds get allocated, but a staking vault can have any number of owners, and thus, a staking pool can be made by any group of people, while only fund owners can get funds they put in. Thus it becomes a decentralized staking pool. Running prototype builds now. Beta testers will play with this in 1 week. Divi will be open sourcing this technology for any project to use.

Partnerships

The Blockchain Center is Nick Spanos’ educational center for blockchains. TBC will be helping Divi with LATAM countries and events. In april, Divi struck a deal with them. Divi is now on their website, bright and bold!

Divi will be the official wallet of the blockchain center, which is pretty amazing considering Spanos is a long time powerhouse in the field of crsypto currencies.

Games Interactive: the game company that is creating Divi powered, Siege worlds. Geoff and Nick invested in Games Interactive and are instrinsically involved with the game development. This is the beginning to more blockchain gaming with Divi. Siege worlds is a MMORPG with a few twists you can find at the game website. Plans are to spend, find and win Divi, as well as other cryptocurrencies in the game.

Chalk

Nick has a side project called Chaulk. Chaulk is a blockchain esports gaming platform. But he didn’t really put a lot into an explaination here.

Run For The Unicorns

A decentralization conference will take place aug28-Sept 5. Run For The Unicorns. Nick is keynote speaking on 3 of the days. THey will be using an immersive, video game-like, program to run the conference.

Questions:

Nick often doesn’t repeat the question, and just answers them as he sees them. So I’ll just put those answers and tidbits of information here.

Divi shirts are at Divi Threads and you can pay with Divi for 10% discount

Divi 2.0 is called DiviWallet. Project scope has greatly expanded. For example: Fintech features, setting up IBAN, staking vaults, validators, and so forth. It’s not just another crypto wallet otherwise you could just use PolisPay. The pieces are coming together. It is working in CR. Getting it out of CR, then international… It’s simply a lot of work.

There are no Zap updates. Check Bitcoin Ben for new info.

No new info on new exchange, because contract requires them to announce first. They are putting a lot of info into the listing, they will be promoting. Have not seen this from most exchanges.

Which coins will be exchanged in wallet?

New exchange only has USDT pair. Can trade against any coin in wallet. ETH, ZAP, LTC. WTF is a non-taxable coin? Local issue, not coin issue.

Marketing launch is not connected to exchange marketing. But they will start at approx same time.

Can use divipay to pay bills. Not immediately, but when debit card comes out.

New exchange marketed to asian countries, S korea, Singapore, Japan, China.

Looking to increase presence in end of year. As a goal, Nick wants people to hear about it. People generally like it, when they see it.

Future chats will talk about ancillary products.
