Hmm.... you wrote this 14 hours ago. No mention of bradykinin storms, the multiple streams of evidence (thougth admittedly small studies) that this is the mechanism by which COVID attacks, and mention of the fact that most societies actually have great majorities of the population deficient in Vitamin D.

Just the widespead deficiency alone should lead you to advise taking vitamin D, never mind COVID. But now with a mechanism hypothesized and somewhat supported, and the extreme minimum harm possible from vitamin D supplementation. I can't see why you would stick to the "I can't advise.." position.
