Holy crap, you wrote an entire anti-capitalist screed demonstrating that you have zero idea what capitalism is??!

Prices and costs being allowed to go up is a feature of capitalism. You WANT that to happen when resources get limited, it is how people know to use less. The reason this doesnt happen is because governments subsidize huge swaths of the fossil fuel markets… specifically NOT a feature of capitalism. Never mind the huge spending to support a fossil fuel industry like roads, pipelines, military protection in oil rich areas, etc.

When governments print, tax and spend to support an industry while allowing profits in that industry to be privatized, you specifically do not have capitalism. What governance system centralizes control and funding in this way? It is not capitalism.

Now knowing this, reread your article and think for yourself about what the problem really is, and whether the problem is actually capitalism or maybe its something else where a tiny group of people are empowered to make choices for millions of other…
