Honestly, almost nothing in here that mac users havent already thought about when they first purchased a mac. Doing things the apple way is often the reason people buy macs. That way is very well supported, usually much easier, and more robust.

Jury is out if Linux will never work on new apple silicon. There are tons of Linux distros for arm, getting a hack to make it work on apple silicon feel slike amtter of time. Plus, 12 years for a computer is an insanely long time.
