I said that about myself too, for about 50 years.Now, I am heading to an Ironman in october. Things change. When you are sick of the way you look, or the way you lose energy, and finding out that you vody, even at this age, is capable of some cool stuff, you may change too.

That said, this watch probably won't be going home with me for 2 reasons. 1) I wear 2 watches and one is a garmin. Simply put, the battery life, even on the new AW, even with future power optimizations, is still too poor to be taken seriously for endurance activities.

and 2) There are rumors of a glucose monitor in a future version. While good for diabetics, this is also good for endurance athletes who need to deal with their carbohydrate intake. If they put that in, I would switch in a second even with poorer battery life than 'real' sports watches.
