I stopped reading here because instead of an informed article, this has already become an anti capitalist screed. The issue with this is that the problem is NOT capitalism, as it exists virtually nowhere on the planet. Instead, it's the exact opposite. Governments around the world play both sides of the game. They have spent CENTURIES lowering the barriers for corporations (which are also government created constructs, without government removing liability, we would just call them businesses). Governments lay down multilane highways and stretch them across every landmass but one (for now) on the planet. They facilitate, subsidize, and remove risk and liability from the fossil fuel industries, the auto industries, and the military. Further, through regulation, subsidization, and facilitation, we as consumers have no idea what the actual cost of things are, thus we can not use price as a signal to know what is scarce, cheap, or expensive.

When you (rightly) point fingers at the Koch brothers, or anyone else who commands a corporation, you are not pointing your finger at capitalism. You are pointing your finger at government controlled economy that is highly suspectible to cronyism and lobbying. You are, in fact, pointing your finger at what centralization, nationalization or even socialism brings.

Climate change can be corrected and adapted to if government gets out of the they way and stops ruining the planet for everyone under the guise of "helping people" while they concentrate power into the hands of a tiny few.

Now that I have read further, I'm glad I stopped when I did. You just went into an angry rant, prattling about things you have spent very little time learning about.
