I think articles like this exemplify short term thinking. Oh My God! something may get worse int eh near term! That's not right! Things must continually get better!

Millei in Argentina has come out against 100 years of this attitude which has lead to 200% inflation. he gets in there and cuts it in half in one year. Did every metric get better? No of course not, but continued work during a time of discomfort is required to get the country back on track.

What are the 10 year effects of tarriffs? If its more expensive to make product abroad, will manufacturing come back to the US or not?

I'm not a trump supporter, so I don't claim to know the answer. I suspect we will see rising costs, short term thinkers will say "Hey thats bad!" and vote the other way next time.
