I too have been shocked by the close similarities of the current loud aura of the USA and the movie Idiocracy. I _suspect_ you and I have similar political leanings (pointing away from the left-right paradigm) and am often truly saddened to see people equating "government says...." with "this is wrong"

The problem is, as you know, the USA govt has a long history of treating people poorly. Either be it Puerto Rican women (or the entire Island in general) to bombing people in Philadelphia, to only allowing nuclear designs that also make plutonium despite other design being safer and more viable. This list a long and wide, presently and over time. Not beleiving in mRNA, when they don't have the desire to dive deep, seems like a natural effect.

Over and over the US govt, lies (bush WMD), obfuscates (reagan iran-contra), or facilitates industries (list too long) and people (list also too long) that do not share interests with americans or the planet.

Over and over again.. so I can see how people equate "Govt. says.." with "This is wrong"

But the people who have found themselves to be anti-government I have found to fall in two camps. The first is the overwhelming group of people you describe, you can barely think their way out of a box. Tese poeple just parrot the Alex Jones, Joe Mercola, and MTG's of the world. But I have found the second to be QUITE educated, morally centered, contemplative, and self examinatory.

Don't lose hope yet. Someti,es these things go in cycles, or some desctruction needs to happen for something better to come along.
