I stopped reading your content many years ago when i thought you were a hopeless lefty (as was i at some point). You just couldnt see what i was trying to tell you and you responded with condescension and derision. So i just stopped reading anything by you. Im not even sure how this article got into my feed.

Anyway, maybe now you are noticing that the problem isn’t left vs right. Its authority vs everyone else.

All those methods of power accumulation: democracy, forced representation, monarchy, whatever, are the problem and it is insidious. Its extremely difficult to navigate around. The left want to force their point of view on others, and the right does too. And the specific people in those positions mostly do not care about the topic, they want the position of power.

So yeah, i find the left often more racist than the right . Here in america they conflate “the poor” with “minorities” all the time and try to solve things for minorities by making things worse for the poor (like printing money to pay for things). They unironically say things like “black people cant get ID”, what a silly idea.

The best things we can do for others do not come through the threat of force. You want people to have ubi? Give them UBI through many programs that currently provide it.

Once your idea is “government must solve… “ you have already lost the battle. Look at how well governments are solving climate change, how well they stopped covid, how awesome they do in lowering conflict and poverty. On average All these things get worse with more government involvement.

I honestly think its because those who seek power do not have any personal justification to see social problems end when they can keep failing and promising new programs. Also, i think the idea of a small group of tens or hundreds of people leading tens or hundreds of millions of people is a preposterous idea, shown to fail over and over again, if the nation state idea must be pursued it should never be larger then a couple of million people.

I hope you can see some of this now. Thats why trump or biden don’t matter in the long run, they both suck. Thats why things don’t get better in SA when they finally get rid of Zuma.
