I'm always blown away when communists, like this author, can't even comprehend how consent works. And typical of blathering talking heads, all complaint, no solution. Uber and Lyft exist becuase the status quo was awful and not improving. The status quo, the over regulated, over priced, monopolized garbage heap that taxi's have been for decades, are the reason why people want something else.

Instead of trying to tear down things people want, why not build something better? Build a better Uber, one that pays what you think drivers should be paid, one that charges when riders should be charged, one that has the experience that you think people want and deserve.

If you did that, then why would someone drive for Uber when you are offering higher wages? Why would someone use Uber, if you are offering cheaper rides with a better experience?

If you want to fix it, make it better. But instead all you can think about is that it should be broken, becuase your personal opinion is that the people who a voluntarily working for and using this services are being exploited. Again, your personal opinion. From your desk chair, no skin in the game.
