It totally DOES work the way you are expecting, and your conclusion of how it works is totally wrong.

You simply didnt bother to learn how to do things. cut, copy paste, undo DO in fact work exactly like you are wanting (cmd-x, cmd-dc, cmd-v, cmd-z), but perhaps the software you are using has over ridden it (like Medium does). you can also right click to get all these features.

I am seeing that the rest of your article is more of the same. Maybe some googling of "how do i..... on a mac?" would be useful for you before you write an article like this.
