Men will use this feature to guarantee they sit next to women. I'm not sure this is a great feature.

To address this properly, the airline has to give up allowing people to pick seats, and instead allow people to have preferences, like sit near front, away from bathroom, next to a woman/man, window, aisle, etc. Then let an also assign seats.
