Mr. Patel,

Thank you.

I have been trying to get this 50 year old, C programming brain to expand to learn a modern programming language for a few years now. I can’t get it to click and I find it extremely frustrating. I tried 3 different courses in Swift and dropped all three. Then I tried 5 different python tutorials, online, and udemy, and it just wasnt clicking. How many times do I have to go through how to do a while loop when the problem isnt the basics? It’s trying to understand why the hell these programming languages are designed this way.

But you just jumped right in and showed it. These languages are designed this way because, apparently, no one writes their own code anymore. It isn’t normal anymore to write the entire program and supporting data.

This was the first lesson I have taken that doesnt appear to be stupidly contrived, you can make something functional, and the it was actually fun to explore and make it do more than just the lesson. I haven’t felt that desire to experiment in progrmaming in decades.

Again, thank you. I can’t wait to jump into the rest of these.
