I think you are preemptively maligning a profit model.

Profits do not come if you piss off developers

Profits do not come if you poison communities

Profits do not come if your tools cant make good products.

I.e. profts are not the cause of poor products. Tech debt sucks. Fixing tech debt often means nothing new for huge expanses of time.

It sucks. My feeling also was tbat swift has too many bandaids in it addressing edge cases in coding. But parts of it are good and i love that they sre pushing into server and iot
