Steel is highly recyclable. All metals really, i think people get confused by the 5 or 10cents they get back… in NY its inly for carbonated drinks.. like wtf? Does the carbonation make it recyclable. Politicians need to get out of the process, they were the ones fooled first so plastic and oil companies could get subsidies.

Glass is recyclable, but it doesnt really save a lot of energy because they melt the glass down, which is about the same energy cost of new silicon. If they washed and sterilized or gamma rayed glass, probably would work out better.

Thank you for this article about plastic. Its very hard hard to avoid with normal shopping. Costco and sams need to step up to reject it
