thats just another unsupported claim. The ENTIRE issue is that "checked" capitalism isn't capitlaism. It's the method by which capitalism is tortured and become deranged. The problem is the centralized power, the single place corporations and indivuduals go to push what they want on other people and get them to pay for them by force. Its the very institutipon ofgovernment that is the problem. If capitalism were to exist, how many missles would actually be paid for? How much of these roads would have been laid down. Who would subsidize the oil and coal industries? Who would force the worst form of nukes on the planet only because plutonium is a side product of that method when far safer methods have existed for decades? Who would bail out banks, time and time again?
The answer is that no one in their right mind would do these things, and unchecked capitalism is not the problem at all. You are equating greed and hunger for power with capitalism. Those exist in every form of governance, especially centralized governance and have existed long before capitalism was instantiated.
with unchecked capitalism, the price of getting the oil would actually be in the price of oil. The price of distributing that oil would include payment to peoples land that pipelines crosss instead of having their land simply taken away from them. same for roads. With unchecked capitalism the actual cost fo the wars would be a factor for having them at all. Unchecked capitalism is the only way we could even consider saving the planet from the climate change brought on by having centralized power centers, because the costs of the decisions of individuals and businesses would be far mroe immediate and apparent.
