I am writing this article because I truly feel that “My People,” the freedom-loving, libertarian-minded, rights-defending people, have strayed off the path on one important subject.

The topic of abortion is laden with emotions, religious perspectives, historical connotations, and the burdens placed on women. It’s grown into a messy legal miasma. Sadly, as a society, we have stopped trying to understand the points of view of others. We are bifurcating into tribes, living within imaginary lines on the ground, being forced to share common resources. Simplistic, all-or-nothing, band-aid solutions are continually presented as righteousness, morality, and freedom from burden. This article proposes a perspective that makes sense for everyone who can see beyond the echo chambers they reside in.

This article won’t include statistics. It will not establish what is ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ for everyone. Why? Because almost no one changes their views when these tactics are used.

Statistics are ripe for abuse and can always be interpreted in a way that allows someone to dismiss them entirely if they disagree with any aspect of how they were compiled.
