The number 1 reason that rich folks turn republican is the same reason that trump won:

Democrats and their liberal followers.

Fyi, i live in puerto rico and do not vote. I live here because i think the system of majority winning is exactly the problem that Squid Game pointed out, its unethical to force 49 % of millions of people to endure the choice of the 51%. its worse in the us. About 70% are living under the authority of 30%.

Democrats had the opportunity to view crypto as a tool, like hammers and internet, instead they made it into a political checkers piece.

Democrats decided to use their authority to force social planning. This never, ever, ever works. Culture first, THEN government.

Easing up on either of these two issues would have won theman election.

Why do rich people tend to go right? Because the left are always in their way and malign them. The left could embrace success, and take credit for it.

Elon musk wants to go to mars. Its his ONLY real mission. On tbat path he has made electric cars cool, provided payment services that are normal to use now, and had put america first again in space exploration.

He didnt do any of these himself, he buys a company on the right path and imbues it with superpowers that allow them to succeed.

What does the left do? Malign him. Prevent him from equal access to government funding (although he also got some funding), have electric car events and not ivite him, use paperwork to impede progress.

At the end of all that, does he, and other rich people, want to join the Democrats? Do they want to cheer them on.

THAT is why they are republican.

Democrats and liberals need to get ahold of themselves. Understand that being free does NOT mean that the 51% gets to force everyone into their party platform. There is no such thing as a mandate.

Liberals put in the ground work to make fascists have a party. They do it every cycle. Every time they grow the government, republicans get a new tool to play with.

Meanwhile, libertarians, the people democrats malign and conflate with republicans, not only would never do this, but they missed out on

And executive office who would

Strip corporations of their limited liability status

Make social choices state issues (abortion, guns, cars, trans rights, etc), instead of forcing everyone to have the same. Did any liberal ask what the women wants in the states that abortion was banned? They should. Its another reason they are losing votes.

Why should new york have the same cultural and economic rules as alabama? Different cultures, different resources, different geographies, etc. why would you expect the same set of rules to make the resident happy.

The only social welfare program there should be is subsidized moving to another state.
