This is the thinking I take issue with. Because there are no SOCIAL studies about masking, we dont even know if this helps. Yes, in a lab, masks stop the spread. from one person to another.
In a social, public context this is almost totally irrelevant. No one is trained in masking, the masks in use are mostly not NIOSH rated, and worst of all, the masks are getting contaminated in public, and people are bringing these contaminated masks home.
Wall Street journal just wrote an article about how 75% of the spread is not accounted for. I don't think so. Its becuase of the public masking mandates for peopel who are untrained in using masks, use crappy masks, and then hang out with people in places, INSIDE, where its not mandatory to wear them.
Maintaining that public mask mandates arent dangerous, without actual evidence showing this...is dangerous.
