Well, better late than never. Frankly maybe now you will start understanding what the people you absolutely hate have been going through for years. You are now seeing that you should come on board and be free to take care of yourself, be free to assocaite in the ways you feel you need in order to provide security, safety, comfort, longevity.

Oh? You are learning to catch rainwater? How would you feel if powerful people made that illegal (like that have in certain areas of the US). Thats how people who have been wanting to provide their own security with firearms have felt (and feel). How about being told they cant raise food, or generate energy. Raise their kids in ways they think are better?You thought (maybe still think) everyone should be forced to follow along with the very same elected lunatics that you are now realizing are not looking out for you? Instead, maybe we can be free to group together and buy goods and services from those who provide it better and cheaper?

You say "Everyone wrecked it"? Yes. And it was people like you who could NEVER understand that central points of control are monopolies, attract morons and power hungry and result in exactly what you are lamenting. You were your own worst enemy.

Now, let's talk about how to have a voluntary society. How we build better thans that people want because they are better rather than because some slick talking politician tells them its good. A voluntary society is possible, more possible now than every before in human history. You don't have to go it alone and no one is requiring that, even when they don't want government control. They don't want government control, because it monopolized services, empowers psychos, and serves humanity poorly.

Whenever you thought "There should be a law.." to stop something you don't approve of or every time you thought "it would be better if the government supplied..." you were promoting the very same result that you are seeing now. You were promoting an involuntary solciety, one that forces people to do things they don't want to, orforcibly prevents people from doing things for themselves that they do.
