Well I cant stand the man either. His policies are often stupid (like his idea that somehow other countries pay the costs of tarrifs)

But Dems had it easy this time around when Biden finally stepped out and they blew it.

They didn't read the room.

They kept talking about how great the economy is when it was only good for millionaires and billionaires (which includes almost all of the elected body, so I have no idea why you focused on Elon in the title in an article not about Elon).

They kept presenting no action on immigration when that was the number one issue of this election. Instead they just thought making fun of "eating the cats" would be enough.

She could have distinguished herself from Biden on economy by embracing crypto (that would have been an easy win), propose specific changes to SEC (boot Gensler immediately), clearly promoted nuclear power (instead of hiding her views in between "careful" and "regulated"), and talked about getting to abundant electrical energy vs oil.

Instead she wasn't clear on policy at all. She focused on football topics like guns and abortion (yes they are important, but immigration and economy were the topics to be clear on this time). She didnt read the room at all, so people who hate trump as a person, ended up voting for trump.

This was hers to lose and she came through. Instead of hating Trump so much, every democrat should be ashamed that their party cant see what is in front of them.

Instead democrats use system 1 thinking with regard to Trump (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBVV8pch1dM&list=PLdeX4j5mXcuCj9pIeIcl2sV222r5pDAE8&index=4&t=562s), pattern recognition that is conducive to their tribe, rather than actually thinking. They just say "it's because he's a billionaire" (Did mark Cuban vote Blue because he is a Billionaire) or "it's because they are racist" (thinking black people don't or can't have ID is the most racist idea and is only promoted by liberals).

It's tiring and no one wants to listen to it any more.

(btw, I am not a republican, nor am I a fan of Trump)
