Without checking your facts here, i’m confused what you think is actually wrong here.

You can not run a company like a science project. You will get crushed by competition who make decisions based on incomplete data.

Have you run a business? Did you A/B all your major decisions?

Cults of personality are why some people are good at management and some people are bad. Charisma comes in many forms. Wolfram charisma is very different than Ellison charisma which is different than Gates charisma, but none of those people are A/B ing their way through success. They all make enormous mistakes, no one wins all the time.

This same rant could have been pointed at Next computers, or Windows mobile.

Finally, none of this is to defend Musk. I cant say i can predict the market. I can say i far prefer a platform when i don’t get banned for explaining how vaccines work without using profanity and curing a source. (No it wasnt antivax - it was their algo that was built by smooth brains).
