My Rise Garden — 3 years in

A free version of this story lies here

I have owned a triple-level Rise Garden unit for the past three years. I bought it as a Covid present to myself and have always wanted to get into hydroponics. Rise made it really easy, but not inexpensive. I figured it was time to share an honest assessment.

Assembly

The first step in my journey with the Rise Garden was assembling the unit. I found the process to be relatively straightforward, with clear instructions and minimal technical expertise required. The materials used are high-quality, and the design is well-thought-out.

Now, if you have read my previous articles, you know I have a PhD in mechanical engineering. I assure you that was a long time ago, I am way dumber now, and my friend with a computer science degree also built one without an issue. If you ask my wife, she can tell you that I get extremely pissed off about bad design when I have to assemble to repair something, and I don’t remember this going badly, and I have taken it apart a number of times to clean it. So kudos to their designers, their design doesn’t piss me off. Something you spend over 1000 dollars on shouldn’t bring you to anger, and this doesn’t.
